RESEARCH ON CONTROL LOOPS BASED ON INFORMATION PROCESSES,
TAKING PLACE IN AN INFOCOMMUNICATION SYSTEM

ABSTRACT

Introduction. Nowadays infocommunication systems are being actively developed and implemented into systems for complex organizational and technical object control, representing one of the main factors that provide the common purpose of control automation that is the increase of control object capability use effectiveness due to quality improvement and the reduction of time for fulfilling the tasks by authorities in the control loop. The urgent problem is devising the control loop modeling method for developing (at early design stages) systems engineering solutions concerning the design of infocommunication systems and for conducting semi-natural system experiments that provide control loop operation in order to assess the compliance to the qualifying standards. The purpose of the work is to develop a model and a methodological apparatus for the research on control loops based on information processes taking place in an infocommunication system. The methods of stochastic network modeling and the theory of semi-Markov random processes are used. Results. As a result the model and the technique for investigating control loops based on information processes taking place in infocommunication systems were developed. By the example of control loop modeling in the case of unplanned conflict parties’ interaction, the adequacy of the developed methodological apparatus to the object of research was confirmed. Conclusion. The analysis of obtained results shows that the increase of the information data transmission rate in infocommunication systems results in control loop execution time reduction. However, control process probabilistic-time characteristics improvement due to implementing perspective infocommunication systems is unreasonable below a certain practical threshold. Further direction of control process probabilistic-time characteristics decrease is authorities’ operation (actions) order optimization based on new capabilities provided by implementing perspective infocommunication systems. Implementation of this direction would allow providing control process probabilistic-time characteristics improvement at the brand new level.
