Heads elaborations in “Resource-Saving and Ecologically-Sound Technologies for Forest Cultivation” research area. Two academic laboratories (“Biotechnological Methods for Organic Wastes Utilization and Ecological Monitoring in Forest Cultivation (“Bioecos”) and “Radiological Laboratory”) are functioning under his guidance. A group of researchers headed by Е. М. Romanov was awarded the State Prize of the Republic of Mari El for Elaboration of Biotechnological Methods for Household and Industrial Organic Wastes Utilization in Forest Cultivation.

Е. М. Romanov heads the process of training and further training of the graduated specialists in the field of artificially forest regeneration and mechanization of forestry works. He is the chairman of the Dissertation Committee Д 212.11.03
